On the south wall of my studio is a collection of wysteria plants that I transplanted from the woods at the back of our property. Three different nights a week, artists gather together to share the cost of a model for about two and a half hours. We all use this time to different purposes, some for studying certain aspects of the figure, others to work on anatomy and still others trying to create finished pieces (like this one). Life Is a Bowl of Raseberries

My nieghbor knocked on the door and handed this bowl of freshly picked raseberries to me. Not only did they look delicious they tasted every bit as good. While I am tempted to think that my life tends to be a bowl of lemons, and I am quite sure that it isn't a bowl of cherries, I am not sure what it means for it to be a bowl of raseberries. Another in the "Painting a Day Series" this work is based on a flower arrangement from my father's funneral. As I have said before all of my life is open to be interpretated into my visual art.
