The title comes from the blue fabric around the model (they often use their own robes to keep themselves clean). It reminded me of a choppy sea with the model being the figure head on a ship. I once carved a figure head out of foam for a production of Peter Pan that I designed, this reminded me of that figure (minus the sea shells covering her breasts and the fish tail).
