A Wink and a Nod

This year we had wonderful success with a variety of sunflowers; large, small, and inbetween. This was one of the largest that started out looking up, tall and proud. Then like all of us, it began to stoop down with age. These were well over seven feet tall, so when I was painting this in the garden I was in fact looking up at this beautiful flower.
