I'm sorry to admit that I am a big fan of puns. If you think about this image of antipasta the title will make sense to you, at least it does to me. My father loved a great pun, which was determined by the quality and length of the groan that followed the pun. How long did you groan? I am a big fan of the work of Wayne Thiebaud and early on lifted many of his visual ideas (as well as subject matter) to create my work. I have move on from there but still create pieces like this one that bere homage to one of my favorites. This is the start of bloging the Painting a Day series

"The Ground Hog Might Be Wrong"

Spring seems to have shown up early in Richmond, Virginia this year. This painting was created from the Daffidils growing on my side yard, hidden in amongst the trees and ivy.

I have been creating the Painting a Day series since late April 2007 and have been offering them for auction on ebay to rather strong success. I have decided to creat this blog to offer piece on a first come first serve basis. This piece and all of the insuing works will be available for $95.00 first recieved email gets the work.

The Painting a Day series are all original oilstick paintings on 100% rag paper. They are created so that they will fit nicely into a 16"x20 matte with an 11"x14" opening.
